Graceanna Wood, 88, of Topeka, died on Monday, March 23, 2015.
She was born on April 23, 1926 in Horton, the daughter of Theodore and Anna (Green) Christensen.
She worked 38 years for the Santa Fe Railroad (now BNSF), retiring in 1984. She also worked 11 years for the Kansas Legislature, retiring in 1999.
She married Jim Wood in 1967; he passed away in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, Kay, Barbara, Marilyn, and Gwendolyn and by her brother, Jim.
She is survived by her son, Mike Conley and daughter-in-law Donna; grandchildren, Jeff Conley and Jessica and Beth Timken and husband Chad; two great-granddaughters and two step-great-grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27 at the Brookwood Covenant Church, 3601 SW 33rd St., Topeka; the family will receive friends starting at 10:00 a.m. on the day of the service. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
