Grace L. Morgan, 88, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2008 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. She was born on February 5, 1920 in Perry, the daughter of Ray and Olive Fay Roelofsz. When she was 5 years old, she moved with her family to Topeka until 1940 when she moved to rural areas northwest of Topeka. In 1959, she moved back to Topeka from Onaga where she had resided since. Grace had worked in food service for many years, serving in all positions from cook to waitress before retiring in 1980. She was a member of Southwest Christian Church and the Y.M.C.A. Grace married Arthur N. Morgan on September 1, 1964 in Lawrence. He preceded her in death in October of 1991. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Clifford J. Noland and Robert P. Morgan. Survivors include three sons, Eddie L. Noland of Spotylanvia, VA, Michael L. Noland of Kansas City, MO, Arthur W. Morgan, two daughters, JoAnn Richardson of Smyrna, TN, Judith May Boyce of Kansas City, KS, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and thirty-one great-great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Grace will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Fund at Topeka Presbyterian Manor, 4712 S.W. 6th St., Topeka, KS 66606.
