Grace A. Flory, 90, of Topeka , passed away on June 22, 2023 at Lexington Park Nursing Center.
She was born on October 31, 1932 to James and Grace (Barncord) Flory at Topeka, Kansas.
Grace's last employment was as a Copier Operater at American Econoclad.
Grace spent many, many of her retirement years working on family genealogy, and compiled
many books for all of her family and even some in-laws families. This led to correspondence with previously unknown relatives from different places in America and other countries, and developed new friendships.
The family enjoyed several years of camping together....Mom and Dad, siblings and their children.
She learned to crochet and put together a few afghans. She loved building jigsaw puzzles, and spent lots of her time at Lexington doing that. In earlier years Grace learned to paint and painted several paintings. She enjoyed building miniature doll house furniture. Over the years she tried her hand at various crafts and hobbies and left her family with the fruits of her labor. She will be missed by all of us.
Grace is survived by her, brothers, James E. (Barbara) Flory, Jr., John C. (Mary Jean) Flory, Sr.
and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Schrenk, Louise Johnson, Helen M Swaim, mother, Grace Flory, and father, James E. Flory.
We wish to thank the nurses and staff at Lexington Park for the care they provided for Grace.
