Gordon E. Raiman, 93, Topeka, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2006 at Lexington Park Nursing Home.
He was born November 13, 1912 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the son of Sam and Julia Raiman. He served in the US Army Air Corp during World War II from November of 1942 through May of 1945. He was part owner of Duff and Raiman Refrigeration Service in Topeka until he retired in 1977. Gordon was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He married Dorothy Kohlschreiber on February 10, 1946 in Topeka. She preceded him in death . Survivors include two sons, Jim Raiman and his wife, Margaret of Omaha, NE; Mark Raiman and his wife, Pam of Topeka, one granddaughter, Kelsey Raiman of Topeka and one sister, Ella Lettsome of Kenosha, WI.He was preceded in death by his sister, Clara Larson and one brother, Elmer Raiman. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Raiman will lie in state after Noon Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to service time.
