Yvonne Fendorf Elliott, 88, of Tonganoxie died peacefully, Friday, July 17, 2015, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 24, 1927, the daughter of John and Ova Miksell.
She is survived by her husband, Ret. Lt. Col. Harlen Elliott, daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Hoefgen, Cherre Miller and Geri (Chris) Urban, stepdaughters, Denise Miller and Erin (Vaughn) Kirkland, stepson, Thornton (Cyndi) Elliott, grandson, Trevor Hoefgen, granddaughters, Tami (Larry) Watts, Christin Urban and Grace Hoefgen, great-granddaughter, Brie (Alex) Hawkins-Green and great-grandson, Christian Urban, along with numerous step-grand and great-grandchildren.
Yvonne was a military wife and traveled extensively. She was an avid horsewoman and loved her farm in Leavenworth. She later moved to her dream home in Tonganoxie. She was very creative and enjoyed oil painting and decorating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. Lt. Com. James Fendorf, her sister, Gerry DeVries and her best friend, Theresa Elliott.
Per her request, there will be no memorial services. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting the family.
