Glenn E. Hardesty, 63, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at a Topeka hospital. He was born September 19, 1948 in Buffalo, KS, the son of Benjamin E. and Lottie M. Stevenson Hardesty.
Glenn graduated from Highland Park High School in 1966. He was employed by KU Printing Service for many years before retiring.
Glenn married Charlene Snepp. She preceded him in death on July 17, 1992. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Susan E. Raikes on August 7, 2000.
Glenn married Linda L. Wooster on June 24, 1993. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Clay Hardesty, Angie Vickery and Roni Munoz, all of Topeka, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Charlotte Shirley of Albuquerque, NM and Ben W. Hardesty of Topeka.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Topeka Cemetery. Glenn will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Following the committal service at the cemetery, the family will receive friends at the White Lakes Plaza Apartment Clubhouse, 3733 SW Plaza Dr., Topeka, KS 66609. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, KS 66506.
