Glenn C. Morehead, 83, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at a Topeka care facility. He was born on July 4, 1926 in Topeka, the son of Glenn and Elizabeth Jacques Morehead. He was a life-long Topeka resident. Glenn graduated from Topeka High School in 1944 and was an Army veteran of WWII. He was employed by Otis Lane Auto Body Repair which became ARC Transport for many years before retiring in June of 2009. He was a member of the American Legion.
Glenn married Rosemary Adang on January 6, 1948 in Columbia City, IN. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter; Mary Elizabeth Dugan of Shreveport, LA, one son; William Fredrick Morehead and his wife, Karen of Wicks, AR, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one brother; Fred C. Morehead and his wife, Patricia of Topeka. Glenn was preceded in death by one son; Glenn Franklin Morehead and two sisters; Betty Berggren and Gleda Morehead.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Glenn will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
