Glen R. Kidwell

Glen R. Kidwell, 86, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Aldersgate Village. He was born on May 3, 1921 in Coffey, MO, the son of Orda and Hattie Holcom Kidwell. He resided in Topeka for the past 20 years. He was employed by Katz Drug Store which then became Skaggs Drug Store where he retired after 30 years of employment. He was of the Methodist faith. Glen married Virginia Margaret Bales on September 17, 1944 in Ottawa, KS. She preceded him in death on November 28, 1983. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara S. Darr and husband, Kenny of Winchester, VA, two brothers, Paul and Harold, two sisters, Ruby and Bertha and his companion and friend, Rosemary Torrez. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Garden House at Lake Shawnee. Please follow the signs inside the park. Private inurnment will take place in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the organization of the donor's choice. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
