Gladys Leinmiller

Gladys Leinmiller, 100, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, November 4, 2009 surrounded by her loving family, friends and caregivers.
She was born July 23, 1909 in Wakeeney, Kansas the daughter of Ike and Mary Taylor.
She was a member of the Unity Church of Christianity. Gladys enjoyed raising Canaries and was a member of the American Roller Canary Association.
She married Andrew George Leinmiller October 20, 1932. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son Wayne Taylor Leinmiller. Survivors include four children George Leinmiller and his wife Marlene, Carol Burch, Lloyd Leinmiller and his wife Debbie and Ginny Martin; her grandchildren, Bruce, Taylor, Michelle, Brett, Aaron, Jess, Chris and James and seven great grandchildren.
Gladys will lie in state after 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Russell City Cemetery, Russell, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Unity Church of Christianity, 9162 S.W. 10th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66615.
