Gerry Lynn Wenger, 68, of Topeka, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Gerry was born September 18, 1945 in Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Gerald and Doris Lorraine (Carroll) Wenger. He was a graduate of Hiawatha High School and served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was employed at Contech Construction Company as a welder.
Gerry married Linda French on December 9, 1994 in Miami, OK. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his father, Gerald Wenger of Topeka; a son, John Wenger, two daughters, Jennifer Wenger of Dover, KS and Stephanie Hussain of Sugarland, TX; one step-son, Jeremy French of Topeka; two brothers, Joey Wenger, Tonganoxie, KS and Dan Wenger of Ozawkie, KS; three sisters, Sandera Hogan of Ocala, FL, Judith Greene of Salina, and Lisa Joy Panzer of Hays, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a son, Samuel Wenger.
A memorial ceremony will be 2:00p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2401 SW Kingsrow Rd., Topeka. Inurnment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka.
