Geri Downs, 68 of Topeka, Kansas passed away September 23, 2019
Geri was born January 1, 1951 the daughter of Charles and Opal Bodenheimer.
She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1969.
She retired from Aviva in 2015. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Geri enjoyed teaching children at church. She loved her grandchildren and taking them on trips. She also enjoyed shopping with her family. She would travel to Colorado at least once a year to visit family. Along with traveling to Colorado she would often drive around Kansas to small towns. She was an avid KC Royals and Denver Broncos fan. In her free time she would work on her needle point.
Survivors include her sons, Tim Reeves, Brian Reeves, Michael (Crystal) Reeves; daughter, Lori Reeves; five grandchildren, Tasha Steele, Cheyenne Steele, Dale Siddons, Marshall Williams, Sean Siddons; brothers, Gary Bodenheimer, Craig Bodenheimer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Butch and Michael Bodenheimer; mother in law, Catherine Reeves, sister in law, Rochelle Bodenheimer and a nephew, Christopher Bodenheimer.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, September 27, 2019 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3611 SW Jewell, Topeka, KS 66611. Family will greet friends one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas.
