Geraldine Bartling Cameron, 89, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born October 3, 1914 at Aurora, Missouri the daughter of August Carl and Alice Mae (Dunning) Bartling.
Geraldine served as assistant manager at the Washburn College Book Store 25 years until her retirement.
She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church. Following her retirement she was active with the Washburn Retirees.
She was married to John William Cameron June 1, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1965. They resided in Clay Center prior to moving to Topeka in 1957. Survivors include:
Two daughters, Joan Wiksten and her husband David Topeka, KS
Janet Laing Phoenix, AZ
Five grandchildren, Christopher Wiksten, Andrew Wiksten, Anne Wiksten, Eric Laing, Scott Laing, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2004 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Private interment will be at Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Topeka Presbyterian Manor, 4712 SW 6th Street, Topeka, 66606 or to Midland Hospice Care, 200 SW Frazier Cr, Topeka, 66606.
