Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Whipple, 62, of Topeka, suddenly passed away on April 2, 2024 at his home.
He was born on March 23, 1962 in Fort Yates, ND, he is an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.
Jerry retired two years ago from a long and successful career as a Systems Analyst. In Topeka he worked for Stormont Vail and Hill's Pet Nutrition and it's parent company Colgate-Palmolive. In Minneapolis he worked at SuperValu headquarters.
On July 2, 1994 he married Susan L. Bassett. Jerry and Susan lived on their homestead in Dover, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Beatrice and Everett Noisy Hawk Sr.; and his nephew Gerald Noisy Hawk.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Susan Whipple and his beloved children Galen and Donna Whipple.
Jerry is survived by siblings: Bibie Ann Whipple, Michael Whipple, Catherine Whipple, and Everett Noisy Hawk Jr; Uncle Michael TreeTop; and nephews and nieces: Roger Whipple, Taylor Whipple, James Peterson, Michael Noisy Hawk, Mindy Noisy Hawk, Lilly Bassett and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, 10:00 at the Penwell-Gabel - Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka, Kansas, with Chaplain Carmen Raines, officiating. Reception to follow at Jerry and Susan's house.
