Gerald L. Lane, 66, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011.
He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Gerald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, five sons, Andy, Rick, Gerald Jr., Matthew and Ed, a daughter, Sheila, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers, and a sister. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. Gerald will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. today, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center, 2200 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66622.
