Gerald "Bud" Kinder, 84, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020.
He was born July 31, 1935, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Clarence and Clara (Fenwick) Kinder. He graduated from Topeka High School.
He liked to go to the lake and go fishing. He built and flew model airplanes. He loved to vacation in Colorado in the mountains. Above all else, he loved spending time with family.
He began his career with Jayhawk construction in the 1950's. He work 42 years in the construction business retiring in 1996.
He was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church.
Gerald married Cecilia Wilhelm on January 12, 1957 in Topeka, KS, she survives. Other survivors include son, Randal (Marsha) Kinder; son, Daniel (Malesa) Kinder and daughter, Vicky (Kevin) Nelson; grandson, Tyler Kinder; granddaughter, Emily (Ryan ) Bonilla; grandson, Aaron Nelson; granddaughter, Taylor Nelson; great-grandson, Bennett Bonilla and sister-in-law, Joyce Kinder. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Kinder.
A Celebration of his Life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18th, 2020 at Lowman United Methodist Church, 4101 SW 15th St., Topeka. Private interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to Lowman United Methodist Church 4101 SW 15th St. Topeka, KS 66604.
