George Gardenhire

Age 86, passed away October 10, 2003 in Topeka. He was born October 8, 1917 in Alma, KS the son of Leslie and Bertha Hall Gardenhire. George graduated from Alma public schools and served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1946. He was employed as a Nursing Assistant at Colmery-O'Neil Medical center and retired in 1973. He was a member of the Jehovah Witness Hall.

He was married to married to Mary Simmons Gardenhire in 1946. She preceded him in death along with three sisters and three brothers.

Funreal Services will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.Interment and military honors will be conducted at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00AM until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. On-line condolences may be made at www. penwellgabel.com.
