Genevieve (Genny) Babicki, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2005 at her home in Thorton Place.
Genny was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the daughter of Michael and Mabel Gleason, and had lived in Topeka for over 50 years, except for four years when she resided in Rochester, New York.
Genny's greatest joy in life was her family, who was her first priority. She leaves a daughter, Deborah Miller Barber, of Sioux City, Iowa; and two sons, Kirk Miller of Richardson, Texas, and Brad T. Miller of Topeka. Her daughter, Marcia Miller Moody, preceded her in death in 1983.
Genny was married to Dr. Kirk Miller. They later divorced. She was later married to Joseph Babicki. He preceded her in death in May, 1997.
Also surviving are six super grandchildren: Monique Haynes-Robertson of Wichita; Jeff Miller of The Woodlands, Texas; Craig Miller of Austin, Texas; Angie (Miller) Waples of Moore, Oklahoma; Brad T. Miller II of Topeka; and Ryan K. Miller of Topeka; and five precious great- grandchildren whom she adored. She also has two surviving sisters, Nell Dodds of Crawfordsville, Indiana, and Ruth Schaller of Highland, Indiana.
Memorial services are planned for 11:00 am Monday, October 31, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, with private burial of the cremains in Mission Center Cemetery at 29th and Urish Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be pleased if memorial gifts would be made to Heart of America Hospice, 3715 SW. 29th Street, Topeka, Kansas, 66614.
