Gene Beard
Gene Beard, 74, of Topeka passed away at his Home on Feb. 4, 2004. He was born in Wabaunsee, KS to Eugene and Mary Bell Beard, on July 26, 1929.
He served 20 years in the U. S. Air Force, retiring in 1966. Gene then worked for KRDC, VA Hospital and Santa Fe.
Surviving are his daughter, Regina Beard, sisters Lila Mosby, Mary J. Beard, Wanda Williams, Rosamond Nelson, Colynn Peoples, brothers William Beard and Raymond Beard, also numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Beard's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. in Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission.
