Geane Marie Fein, 87, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Aldersgate Village in Topeka. She was born August 25, 1925, in Junction City, KS, the daughter of George Earl and Eula Irene Womack Cox.
Geane was Valedictorian of the Junction City High School class of 1943, where she lettered in debate and won several state wide academic competitions. She had resided in Topeka since 1964.
She was employed as an Actuarial Clerk for Security Benefit for 26 ½ years before retiring in September 1991. Geane was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Candace S. Lewis, Paul Fein, and Michael T. Fein, five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, two sisters, Rosiland J. Rago and Marjorie A. Stinson, and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by one son, William E. Fein, Jr., and one grandson, Gordon W. Fein.
Cremation has taken place and as per Geane's wishes, no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place in Highland Cemetery in Junction City, KS. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting the family.
