Gayle Marie Dick

Gayle Marie (Jones) Dick, 96, Topeka, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023.

She was born September 22, 1926, in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Lawrence Joseph and Marie Elizabeth (Dollard) Jones.

She held various jobs throughout her life, as a receptionist at a local chiropractor office, home cleaning services, and ran a home daycare.

Gayle married Ralph Edward Dick, he preceded her in death on September 14, 1964. She was also preceded in death by parents, and siblings, Martha Jones Vickers and Larry Jones.

Survivors include four daughters, Susan Dick, Nancy (Bill) Billings, Karen (Steve) Holzmeister, and Pam Campbell; four grandchildren, Annette Shaw (Jay Payne), Amber Holzmeister (Michael Donovan), Ashley Billings (Edward Whitlock), and Scott Campbell; and four great-grandchildren, Konnor, Karsyn, Kaitlyn, and Kenna.

Gayle enjoyed reading, crafting, music, and various puzzle activities. She loved her family and attended as many activities for her kids and grandkids that she could. She was known for her annual holiday gatherings, which continue to live on through her family.

Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Buster Cemetery, near Perry, Kansas. Visitation will be 6-7pm Friday, May 12, 2023 at the funeral home.
