Gary Mcclain

Gary Allen McClain, 57, Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at a local hospital.

Gary was born December 28, 1947 in Topeka, the son of Roy and Marjorie Howey McClain. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1966. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was an extremely generous and loving husband and father.

Gary was employed by the City of Topeka, Water Pollution Control and Water Treatment Plant for 33 years. He retired in 2000 due to health reasons.

He was a member of the Topeka Masonic Lodge #17. He was a 33rd Degree Scotish Rite.

Gary married Rhonda Honaker on September 29, 1978. She survives. Other survivors include sons; Matthew McClain, Marc McClain and Luke McClain, a daughter, Jonna Soden and her husband, Jon, all of Topeka. Grandchildren, Christian Michael Soden, Dalton and Trenton Morgan and Brooklyn Palubinski.
One brother, Roy McClain, and sisters, Myrna Barringer and Geraldine McClain, all of Topeka.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 4:00 P.M. at Topeka Bible Church. Mr. McClain will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 P.M. on Saturday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
