Frona Lovae Bonar, 68, of Topeka, died on October 10, 2015 under hospice care at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
She was born on October 4, 1947 in Garnett, KS the daughter of Chester and Eunice (Welton) Cline.
Frona graduated from Garnett High School in Garnett, KS in 1965 and from Clarks Business School, Topeka, in 1967.
She was united in marriage to Douglas Linne Bonar on March 18, 1967 at the First Christian Church in Garnett, KS.
Frona was an in-home day care provider for 19 years and worked at Andrews Asphalt Company and Reser's Fine Foods until she retired in 2009. Frona was also an amazing seamstress that sewed for many people throughout her lifetime.
Frona loved her husband, children, and grandchildren, and the many, many dogs that she had. Her last dogs were Pepper (her favorite), Sadie, and Bandit.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Bonar of Topeka, daughter, Heather Cain (Brian) of Kennedale, TX and son, Jason Bonar of Topeka. Also surviving are granddaughters, Karinna Lovae Cain and Willow Madison Luther, grandson, James Douglas Cain and brother, Marvin Gene Cline of Osage City, KS.
Frona was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Arthur and Eunice Lovae (Welton) Cline.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave. in Topeka.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14th at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service and private burial will take place at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.
