Frieda Beck, 78, of Topeka, passed away Monday, November 7, 2005 at St. Francis Health Center.
Frieda was born July 28, 1927 in Kansas City, Kansas to Louis and Mary Verderber. She married Lewis L. Beck in 1951 and later settled in Topeka. Frieda retired from Southwestern Bell.
She was a devoted wife and mother and was an avid gardener; not to mention one hell of a "good cook".
Survivors include her husband, Lew; two sons, Lewis Beck and his better half Brenda Barnes; Wes Beck, all of Topeka; one grandson, Matthew MaGee, of Wichita; one son in law, Frank MaGee; and one brother, Walt Verderber. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela MaGee.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 10, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Private inurnment will be at Mt Hope Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to KSU Cancer Center, 1 Chalmers Hall, Manhattan, KS 66506-3901
