Frederick Miles, 77, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born on June 9, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Margaret Miles. He was an active member of West Side Christian Church as well as the Arab Shriners.
Frederick served in the United States Army and retired after 25 years of faithful service. He worked locally as a service technician for computers and office equipment.
He is survived by his brother, Donald Miles of Raytown, MO; by his ex-wife, Mary Pfiester of Topeka; and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 10th and Lane. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Westside Christian Church. Inurnment will follow at the West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Side Christian Church, 432 SW Lindenwood, Topeka, KS 66606.
