Fred Weibel
Fred E. Weibel, 75, of Topeka, passed away, Friday, July 22, 2011 following an extended illness.
He was born June 19, 1936 in Topeka, KS the son of Everett and Marcella Weibel. Fred was a 1954 graduate of Topeka High School.
He retired in 1993 from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he held various offices within United Steel Workers Local #307L.
Fred was an active member of the Masonic Lodge and the Arab Shrine for over 40 years, where he served in the Provost Guard.
Survivors include his children, Lucinda "Cindi" (Larry) Stocker; Mike (Nicole) Weibel; his brothers, Robert (Sandy) Weibel and John Weibel; his grandson, Blake Weibel and his longtime friend Jan Pingleton.
Cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the Shriners Children's Hospital, c/o Shriners International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
