Fred Herschel Breedlove, 71, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the VA hospital.
He was born in Kansas City, Kansas on August 13, 1934 and grew up in the Kansas City area. Fred moved to Topeka in 1998.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Teamsters Local 41 for much of his life. After his retirement from truck driving, he moved to Oskaloosa where he drove a school bus.
Fred married Patsy L. Rhodes on June 26, 1952 and they recently celebrated their 53rd Anniversary. She survives. Other survivors include six sons; Fred H. Breedlove Jr. Basehor, Billy D. Breedlove, West Union, WV; Richard I. Breedlove, Kansas City, Phillip E. Breedlove, Topeka, B. Keith Breedlove, Eudora and Randall W. Breedlove, Orlando, FL;13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Flossie H. Myers and Mildred Ellifrits, both of Kansas City, MO; and three brothers, Farrell H. Breedlove, St. Louis, MO, Lanny C. Breedlove, Farley, MO and L. Glenn Gullley, Paola; and a sister-in-law, Nancy C. Rhodes, Topeka.
A Graveside Inurnment service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Glenwood Cemetery in Basehor, KS.
