Franklin D. "Hank" Kearney, 61, of Carbondale, KS, passed away Friday, January 15, 2010 at his home.
He was born July 14, 1948 in Bangor, Maine, the son of Darrell Franklin and Margaret (Lynch) Kearney. He served in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1990. After retiring, he was a truck driver for Roehl Trucking. Recently, he was employed by Northern Pipeline.
Survivors include his son, Adam T. Kearney (Kristine) of Topeka; his daughter, Diosa Ramirez (Mark) of Topeka; 3 grandchildren, Victoria and Elizabeth Kearney and Isaiah Ramirez; and his ex-wife, Elizabeth Kearney-Gordon.
Honoring his request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Topeka Bible Church, Southeast Wing, 1135 SW College Ave, Topeka, KS 66604 Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd, Topeka, KS 66617. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, is assisting the family.
