Frank V. Bibb
Frank V. Bibb, 61, Topeka, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born October 30, 1948, in Topeka, to Owen and Lorraine McClenny Bibb. Frank graduated from Topeka High School, Wichita State University and the University of Kansas.
Mr. Bibb was a member of the U.S. Military Academy Band at West Point, New York and he served as Solo Clarinetist with the U.S. Army Field Band in Washington, DC. He was Director of Bands at Northern Illinois University, California State University Fresno, Nebraska Wesleyan University, and Bethany College. Although Frank is not survived by any immediate family, he leaves behind many loving friends and former students.
Following Frank's wishes, no public funeral service will be held. A fund in his memory is being established for the Topeka High School Band program, 800 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66612.
