Frank E. Fieger, 80, Topeka, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2008 following a long illness.
He was born October 31, 1928 in Topeka, the son of Frank and Sina (Emmons) Fieger.
He was a graduate of Washburn University and served on the U.S.S. Cowell, a Navy destroyer, during the Korean War. Mr. Fieger retired from the NCIS with 20 years of service, having served as a Special Agent in offices both in the United States and abroad.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Fieger. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Richard K. and Laura L. Fieger, Topeka; nephews, Darin and Annette Fieger and family, Silver Lake; Russell and Kristin Fieger and family, Shawnee; and four nieces and nephews residing in Texas; and faithful companions, Classy and Sheena.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Mr. Fieger will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
