He attended Topeka schools graduating from Topeka High School in 1937. He attended Washburn University and Clark's School of Business where he met his wife to be, Helen Holm. They were married October 8, 1944 and were devoted to each other for 65 years.
Frank served in the US Army Air Corps stationed at Seething Airbase in England. He flew 30 missions over Europe as a B-24 tail gunner with his final mission on D-Day over Normandy. Among other honors and citations, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was proud to have revisited Seething Airbase in 2003.
Frank was with BC/BS of Kansas for 32 years as Manager of Labor Relations as well as National and Special Contracts retiring in 1981.
As both an Elder and Deacon, Frank was extremely active as a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Most of their lifelong friends grew from the Church Family.
He was an avid golfer, thrilled to have played at most major courses in the U.S., Canada, England and St. Andrews, Scotland. He also shot his age, "80 at 80" for which we all were proud.
