Francis O. Warden, 65, Topeka, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at a local hospital.
Francis was born June 27, 1950 in Sweetwater, TX the son of Arnold and Marjorie (Pidcock) Warden. He graduated from Harper High School in Harper, KS and received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Kansas State University.
He was a Certified Public Accountant with Cummins & Coffman in Topeka.
He was a member of Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church, Pet Assistance Network of Topeka (PANT) and served as Treasurer for the Friends of the Topeka Zoo (FOTZ).
Francis married Jean Staab on August 4, 1979 in Salina. She survives. Other survivors include son, Robert "Bobby" (Sierra) Warden, San Diego, CA; and brother, Travis (Cathy) Warden, Owasso, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Mater Dei Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015 with the rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Topeka Zoo, 635 SW Gage, Topeka, KS 66606.
