Frances M. Dugan (Helmlinger) Wellman, 90, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Aldersgate Village, Topeka.
She was born August 18, 1914 at St. George, KS the daughter and the last of the eleven children of Aaron and Nellie Carrington Dugan. She has resided in Topeka since 1947.
She was a member of Seabrook United Church of Christ Congregational.
Frances was married to Wilford Dale Helmlinger in 1936. He preceded her in death in 1940. She later married Ralph L. Wellman October 10, 1959. He preceded her in death September 9, 1997. Survivors include one son, Dale O. Helmlinger, Tyler, TX, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews in NE Kansas and Iowa.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Friday, December 17, in Wesley Hall at Aldersgate. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 pm at St. George Cemetery, St. George, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to the Good Samaritan Fund, c/o Aldersgate Village, 7220 SW Asbury Dr., Topeka, KS 66614 or to Macular Degeneration Research American Health Assistance Foundation, 15825 Shady Grove Road Suite #140, New York, NY 10016 .
