Frances Welch

Frances Joan Welch, 66, of Topeka, passed away, Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at the home of her daughter and son in law .

She was born October 10, 1936 at Wheaton, Kansas the daughter of Louis W. and Esther L. (Force) Henneberg. Frances graduated valedictorian from Wheaton High School in 1954.

Frances went to work for the State of Kansas, Division of Purchases, in 1954 and is currently a Procurement Officer for the Division. She served as President of the American Business Womens Association. She was a member of Central Congregational Church since 1959.

Frances married George Welch October 23, 1955 at the Wheaton Congregational Church. He survives. Other survivors include:

Funeral services will be 9:00am Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Central Congregational Church. Graveside services will follow at 11:00am Saturday at the Wheaton Congregational Cemetery, Wheaton, KS. She will lie in state after 2:00pm Thursday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Wheaton Congregational Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
