Frances C. Nelson, 88, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at a local hospital.
She was born August 23, 1917 in Lost Springs, the daughter of Carl A. and Sibyl Lundquist Stromberg.
Frances attended Elementary School in Freemount and graduated from Lindsborg High School.
She had been a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church since 1954.
Frances married Wesley E. Nelson on August 31, 1940. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Provo-Blenden and husband, Sam, and Velma M. Pollock and husband, Bill, all of Topeka; three grandchildren, Tina Gannaway and husband, Bill; Mark Provo, and wife, Krista, Carlsbad, California; Marty Provo and wife, Jen, Chandler, Arizona and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Stromberg and two sisters, Mildred Nelson and Ruby Nelson.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Graveside services will be at 3:00 P. M. at the Elmwood Cemetery in Lindsborg. Mrs. Nelson will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 with visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
