Frances L. Moore, 99, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2015, at her home.
Frances was born May 12, 1916, in Effingham, KS, to Douglas and Besse (Meador) Mick. She graduated from Dennison High School in 1933. She is survived by three children, Gary Moore, Richard (Jeannie) Moore and Marla McKinley; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and faithful caregiver, Jody Hutton. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Moore; son, Mark Moore; and grandson, Mike Moore.
During Fred and Frances' time together they founded, owned and operated Moore's Furniture Inc. until they sold the business. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She and Fred leave behind a strong legacy of love, marriage, and faith in Christ to family and all that knew them.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Topeka Baptist Church, 4500 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66610. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
