Frances Elaine (McMillan) Boykin, 88, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015, in Westfield, IN.
Elaine was born August 1, 1926, in Topeka, KS, to Lester and Lorna McMillan. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1944. In November 1944, she married Ernest Boykin in Honolulu, HI.
She is survived by her daughter, L. Leilani (Michael) Gettys; grandsons, Matthew Gettys, of Noblesville, IN and Mark (Laura Wright) Gettys, of Kansas City; and great-grandsons, Luke and Holt Gettys, of California.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Newman, KS. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
