Forrest E. Gooch of Ballwin, Missouri, died April 17, 2004. He was 71. Mr. Gooch worked for Dupont for 35 years. He started with Dupont in 1958 at the Topeka cellophane plant as a control mechanic, and transferred to St. Louis in 1984 as a Senior Service Representative in the Medical Products Department. He retired in 1993. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He was born December 25, 1932 in Chanute, Kansas.
Beloved husband of 42 years to Carol A. (Doll) Gooch; dear father of three sons, Daniel M. Gooch, Michael A. Gooch and Mark L. Gooch; dearest grandfather of Jeremy Michael Gooch, 15; Haley Rae Gooch, 12; and Benjamin Forrest Gooch, 7. He is survived by a stepmother Marjorie Gooch, and two sisters, Darlene Lieurance of Blue Springs, Missouri and Juanita Elmore of Topeka.
Mr. Gooch will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town, 1321 SW 10th Ave. Topeka, Kansas on Monday, April 19 from 1:00 to 7:00, with visitation from 7-8:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at Westlawn Memorial Gardens located in the Veterans Section at I-70 and Auburn Road on Tuesday, April 20 at 11:00 a.m.
