Florence Williams Close, 100, of Topeka, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014, at Topeka Presbyterian Manor.
She was born January 27, 1914, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of Alan and Agnes (Gray) Williams.
On October 20, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri, she married Charles Donald Close. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2004. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia C. (Doug) Walcher of Andover, KS; son, Donald Alan Close of Los Alamos, NM; two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 11 am Thursday, March 13 at First Presbyterian Church, Topeka.
