Ferdinand Nold

F.W. "Fritz" Nold, 74, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at a Topeka care facility due to complications from Parkinson's disease.

He was born in Montrose, Missouri the son of John and Regina (Heiman) Nold.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950-1952.

Mr. Nold was employed as service manager at Hubbell's Furniture Store for 18 years. He retired early due to health reasons.

He was married to Mary Lou Cruncleton on November 8, 1952 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Humboldt, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include:
three daughters, Diane Pittenger Baldwin City, KS
Lin Irey Baldwin City, KS
Lori Smith Topeka, KS
three sons, Dan Nold Stilwell, KS
Tim Nold Hoyt, KS
Tom Nold Grantville, KS
two brothers, Paul Nold Wichita, KS
John Nold Sedgwick, KS
one sister, Dorothy Cockrell Lake Isabella, CA
17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2002 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 1114 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66604. Burial with military honors will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Nold will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where a Prayer Service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday. The family will greet friends following the Prayer Service until 8:30 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be given to Westwood Manor, 5015 SW 28th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66614 or to the National Parkinson's Association, Topeka/Shawnee County Chapter, P.O. Box 251, Topeka, Kansas 66601.
