Faye E. Rawlings, 79, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at her residence. She was born on January 22, 1926 in Trousdale, Tenn., the daughter of Hubert and Nellie Ingram Davis. She was raised in Dothan, Alabama and came to Topeka in the mid 1950's. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed embroidery, reading and gardening. She married Ray H. Rawlings on December 24, 1946 in Alabama. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2003. Survivors include two sons, Dennis L. Rawlings, Kenneth R. Rawllings, one daughter , Barbara E. Rawlings, all of Topeka, two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Hilda Folsom of Marianna, Florida, Betty LaCapo of Macon, Georgia, three brothers, Harry Davis and Ronnie Davis of Dothan, Alabama and Frank Davis of Macon, Georgia. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in Denison Cemetery, Denison, Ks. Burial will follow. Mrs. Rawlings will lie in state after noon Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel .
