Fanny "Lou" Zellers
Lou Zellers, 82, Topeka, passed away February 8, 2008, at Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital.
She was born September 27, 1925 in Parson, KS the daughter of Dwight and Myrtle Ericson Leitnaker. Lou graduated from The Paseo High School, Kansas City, MO in 1942. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at Baker University.
She was also a member of Faith Lutheran Church and TOSCA.
Lou worked for The Kansas Public Employees Retirement System for a number of years.
She married Paul B. Zellers June 18, 1966, in Topeka. He preceded her in death April 7, 1997.
Survivors include her three sons, Robert D. Bowser and his wife Marilyn, Topeka; Richard M. Bowser, Ozawkie; and Ronald C. Bowser, Meriden; three grandchildren, Lindsay Bowser, Lecompton; Karen Bowser, Overland Park; Tyson Bowser, Berryton; and her brother, Harold Leitnaker, Ottawa.
Services will be at Faith Lutheran Church Tuesday, February 12, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Mrs. Zellers will lie in state after 12:00 noon Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. that evening.
