Evelyn Anna Miller, 85, of Topeka, passed away Friday, June 13, 2003 at McCrite Health Center.
She was born July 25, 1917 at Irving, KS (Marshall, County) the daughter of Adolph A. and Carrie A. (Luznicky) Kratochvil. She was a graduate of Hays High School.
Mrs. Miller worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Hays and Topeka from 1935 until her retirement in 1979. She retired as secretary to the Division Manager of the Commerical Department in Topeka.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Topeka and a life member of Telephone Pioneers.
She married Irvin B. Miller June 7, 1947at the First Presbyterian Church in Topeka. He preceded her in death June 19, 1985. She was also preceded in death by a sister Arlene Blanck. Survivors include:

Marcella Buchmeier Topeka, KS
Carolyn Fitzgerald Topeka, KS
one brother, Dale Kratochvil Greeley, CO
and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Miller will lie in state after 8:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to First Presbyterian Church or to the American Cancer Society.
