Evelyn F. Amthauer 96 of Topeka, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015.
Evelyn was born January 19, 1919 in Jasper County, Missouri, in a rural area near Joplin known as Tuckahoe. She was one of ten children of Peter and Essie (Miller) Sandy and was the last surviving child.
Evelyn was united in marriage to Earl W. Amthauer on November 21, 1994 in The First Methodist Church of Joplin, Missouri.
Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Paul Amthauer of Pawleys Island, S.C. and Harry Amthauer of Arlington, Tx.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl and her youngest son David Amthauer.
Mrs. Amthauer was cremated. A private family inurnment will be held at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin, Missouri.
Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
