Evelyn Agnew, 86, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016.
Evelyn (Fischer) Agnew was born January 23, 1930, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Paul and Myrtle (Riley) Fischer.
Evelyn married James Robert Agnew on May 1, 1948 in Westphalia, KS. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1996.
She is survived by daughters, Denise (Dan) Wunder, and Dawn Tucker, both of Topeka; sons, David (Teri) Agnew of Topeka, Jim (Deb) Agnew, of Topeka, John (Sheila) Agnew, of Horseheads, NY, Larry (Cora) Agnew, of Sacramento, CA, and Robert Agnew of Topeka; 21 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Karolyn Kay, and Sherry Ann; a brother, Harold Fischer; and a sister, Winifred Kramer.
Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2016 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 404 Garrison Avenue, Westphalia, Kansas 66093. Inurnment will follow in the St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle Chicago, IL 60674, and TARC (Topeka Association for Retarded Citizens) 2701 SW Randolph Topeka, KS 66611.
