Eustice Verona "June" Matson, 96, Topeka, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2007 at a local care center.
June was born January 16, 1911 in Beattie, the daughter of George and Lula Mae (Martin) Boggs. She had lived in the Beattie and Frankfort communities until she moved to Seattle, Washington in the late 1940's
She worked in nursing until her marriage to Matt A. Matson on November 22, 1948 at Vancouver, B.C. They lived in Seattle until August, 1988 when she returned to Topeka.
Her husband passed away on February 23, 1973. She was also preceded in death by six brothers. Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Matson will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
