Eunice Brunker, 96, Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Presbyterian Manor.
Eunice was born October 23, 1917 in Narka to Charley and Ethel McCarty. She graduated from Clyde High School in 1935 and the Jane C. Stormont School of Nursing in 1943.
She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years in Topeka. After retirement, she was an active member of the Jane C. Stormont Alumni Association. She was also a member of Central Presbyterian Church for over 60 years.
She was very involved in genealogy, loved playing golf, traveling and spending time with family.
Eunice married Marvin Clem Brunker on May 15, 1944. He died April 24, 2008. Survivors include daughters, Nancy Carpenter and Susan (Dan) Willard; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Phyllis Dick. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters; a brother; and son-in-law, Clete Carpenter.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the Jellison Chapel at Presbyterian Manor. Private family inurnment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.
