Eula V. Kerley, 100, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2005. Mrs. Kerley was born on July 14, 1905 in Barnes, the fifth of ten children born to John P. and Cora E. Wanamaker Brown. She came to Topeka in 1912. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Helena Chapter No. 210, O.E.S. and Women of the Moose lodge. She married Edward T. Armstrong on December 7, 1927 in Oskaloosa. She and her husband owned and operated Armstrong Jewelry in Topeka. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1948. She married Granvil L. Kerley, M.D. on January 12, 1949 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1967. She was preceded in death by her siblings, May Swager, June Hurle, James Brown, Neil Brown, John Brown, Naida Bartelt, William Brown, Stella Clark and Marvin Brown. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Mount Hope Chapel Mausoleum. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Kerley will lie in state after noon Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1275 S.W.
