Eula Elizabeth Lisher, 91, Topeka died Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. She was born December 11, 1913 in Soldier, Kansas the daughter of Fred and Nellie Schoonover Nuzman.
Mrs. Lisher graduated from Soldier High School in 1930. She graduated from the Stormont School of Nursing in 1933. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and Dr. Floyd Beelman's office.
Eula was a member of Helena Chapter #210 O.E.S. since 1945, Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church, and Arema Star Club.
Eula married Claude G. Lisher, June 27, 1936 in Horton, Kansas. He died December 23, 1986.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Neil Nuzman.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Lisher, New Canaan, CT; Ray L. Lisher, Topeka; three grandchildren, Lori Lisher Simpson, Dallas, TX; Erik Lisher, New York, NY; Lauren Lisher, Washington, DC; and four great-grandchildren, Robert and Andrew, Katherine and Caroline Simpson.
A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where Eastern Star services will be conducted by Helena Chapter #210 O.E.S. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Lisher will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
