Eugene F. Hill

Eugene F. Hill, 80, of Topeka, died Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at his residence. He was born on October 16, 1924 in Topeka, the son of Ernest and Frances Getty Hill Olson. He was raised by his mother and step-father, Frank Olson. He graduated from Topeka High School. He was employed in the construction field as a carpenter and Southwestern Bell where he retired. He married Laura Dale Gupton on July 6, 1946 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Gary E. Hill and his wife Judy Mae of Arizona, one daughter, Janet L. Litfin and her husband Jeff of Topeka and three grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Hill will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association, P.O.
