Ethel Rayborn Perkins Nincehelser, 82, Topeka, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at her home.
She was born May 25, 1925 in Rayborn, Missouri, the daughter of Hasten and Gustiva Brickey Rayborn. She attended Dewey School, and Mountain Grove High School, Mountain Grove, MO.
Ethel worked at Mountain Grove Brown Shoe Factory, and later at Springfield, MO Tablet Company. After coming to Topeka, she worked at Hallmark Card Company.
Ethel was a member of Highland Crest Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, Awans, and camp for many years. She was also a member of First Southern Baptist Church.
Ethel married Fred Perkins of Hartville, MO, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Verle Nincehelser. Her brothers, Ben, Henry, Arthur, and Jim Rayborn and sisters Lauri and Lila Mae Rayborn all preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Bessie Chiddex of Kansas City, KS; a son, Kevin Perkins and wife, Rebecca of Topeka; a daughter, Delpha Hart and husband, John of Topeka; Karen Boersma and husband, Ralph of Naperville, IL, Joel Nincehelser of Highland Village, TX, and Nealand Nincehelser and wife, Bonnie of Marysville; 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at First Southern Baptist Church with interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Nincehelser will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
